Does Hyundai Elantra Have Remote Start? (Explained)
Being able to stop and start your car at the push of a button or a computer screen from a distance is quite convenient.
That is why more vehicle manufacturers have continued to install remote start technology in their vehicles.
It is easy to open your vehicle door, heat it, or cool it down without even being in it with a remote start.
Like most vehicle companies, Hyundai has embraced the remote start feature and used it in models like the Hyundai Sonata, Hyundai Calligraphy, Hyundai N-Line, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Hyundai Turbo.
But what about the Hyundai Elantra? Does it have the remote start feature?
Hyundai Elantra has a remote start. If your Elantra has the Blue Link feature to sync your vehicle with your phone, you can use your phone to start your car without even being there. In addition, with remote start, you can enjoy other features like locking and opening doors, setting the temperature of your vehicle remotely, and even on-demand alerts.
Do All Hyundais Have Remote Start?
Not every Hyundai vehicle comes with the remote start feature; only some makes and models of Hyundai have remote start.
Although the remote start is a great way to start your vehicle from a distance with a simple push of a button, some Hyundai, especially the older models, do not have the feature.
In addition to the remote start key, carmakers are now developing apps to link car systems with their owners’ smartphones.
With that feature, all you need to do is click a button on your smartphone; however, even this feature is not available on every Hyundai vehicle.
Presently, only Hyundai vehicles with push-button-start key fobs have remote start features.
Also, these key fobs should have either an automatic transmission or dual-clutch transmission.
However, not all of them have remote start, even with these models.
Although most of the newer Hyundai models like the 2020 and 2021 models now have remote start as a standard feature, this was not the case for older models, like the 2011 models.
Users whose vehicles didn’t have the feature can add it to their car as an aftermarket feature.
However, the aftermarket remote start is not warranty-covered, and it does not have the other perks, such as the Blue Link app, which usually comes along with an in-built remote start system.
Also, the aftermarket remote start feature comes in the form of a key fob with buttons that you can use to turn your car on and off.
Which Hyundai Elantra Has Remote Start?
On the one hand, not all Hyundai vehicles have the remote start feature. On the other hand, there are other models and makes of the Hyundai brand equipped with the remote start feature.
Some of them are;
#1. Hyundai Palisades Calligraphy
The Palisades Calligraphy is one of Hyundai’s most highly rated creations. The automobile giant got it right with this SUV, and it is already the consumer’s favorite crossover.
The vehicle is very spacy both for passengers and cargo, comfortable with excellent exterior and interior designs and top-notch features.
Additionally, the vehicle also has the remote start feature. The key fob has both lock and starts buttons, and if you need to lock the car, all you need to do is press the lock button.

#2. Hyundai Elantra
This compact, sleek car was North America’s car of the year in 2021.
Although the Elantra is one of Hyundai’s most popular vehicles loaded with great tech features, it’s also not a gas guzzler, making it an excellent choice for daily commuting.
The Elantra also comes with a remote start.
Hyundai Elantra offers the remote control option through Hyundai’s Blue Link app. In addition to remote start, the app also offers climate control.
To use this feature, you must download and install the app on your smartphone and link your vehicle to the Blue Link Connected Vehicle system.

Once that is done, the system will run a check on the engine. The engine will start and run for 15 minutes if it’s safe before shutting off.
To turn off the engine, press the start button and hold it for two seconds. Also, before you attempt to turn on the vehicle, use the key fob to lock the vehicle’s doors, even if they’ve already locked.
