That is why the vehicle’s torque is of utmost importance for many truckers, and it plays a major role when you want to use your truck to move heavy loads such as boats and trailers.

The 2014 Ram 1500 has a 3.6-liter V6 engine that gives off 305 horsepower and about 269 pound-feet torque, which is the standard for the 2014 Ram 1500, the standard specification for the 2014 Ram 1500. 

Ram 1500 Torque Specs

Most of the time, when dealers or manufacturers try to explain a vehicle’s engine power, they mention the engine’s horsepower and torque.

What Are The Lug Nut Torque Specs For A 2014 Ram 1500?

The lug nut torque sizes and specs vary based on the model year of the Ram you have.

So, before you proceed with any repairs or modifications, always reference the model year to see which applies to your vehicle.

You must purchase lug nuts that are a good fit for your 2014 Ram. 

2014 Ram 1500 Lug Nut Torque 130lbf.ft for cone type and 140lbf.ft for flange, while the lug nut is m14×1.5/22mm.

2014 Ram 1500 Wheel Torque Specs

For obvious reasons, it is important to ensure that your vehicle’s wheels are properly mounted onto its body.

You don’t want a wheel coming off mid-drive; the results will not be good. 

So, if you have removed your wheel and need to reinstall it or fix another wheel, you should torque the lug nuts and bolts using the appropriate torque wrench. 

Of course, the bolts and nuts should also be the appropriate size. So, here are the wheel torque specs for the 2014 Ram 1500.

  • Lug Nut And Bolt Torque = 145ft.lbs (197-N-m)
  • Lug Nut/Bolt Size = M16/ 1.50
  • Lug Nut/Bolt Socket Size = 21mm

If you want to change the lift on your Ram 2014 or install, say, a Mopar lift, you will need to have the correct specs for all the rear suspensions and the front suspension bolts and nuts.

Often, the bolt’s specs come with the instructions in the kit, so when you purchase a kit, check for instructions and guidelines so you can have a good idea of the specs.

On the other hand, some kits don’t have the specs or guidelines, so you should know what they are beforehand.

2014 Ram 1500 Brake Torque Specs

The 2014 Ram 1500 is a fourth-generation Dodge Ram, and it is safe to say that fourth-generation Dodge Rams have ever been very reliable brake systems.

They also have light-duty brake packages and heavy-duty brake packages.

The Dodge Ram 1500 also has a light-duty package with rear single-piston floating and front dual floating calipers.

As expected, the torque specs for the light-duty package vary from those of the heavy-duty package.

#1. Light Duty Package

  • Front caliper brackets = 130 ft.lbs
  • Rear caliper brackets = 120 ft.lbs

#2. Heavy Duty Package

  • Front caliper brackets = 275 ft.lbs
  • Back caliper brackets = 163 lbs upper bolt, 190 ft/lbs lower bolt
  • Guide pins = 32 ft/lbs
