The Ioniq 5 tech is an additional safety package that vehicle owners can choose to purchase or not. The pack comes with the vehicle and contains Front Memory Seats, Relaxation Premium seats, Remote Start Parking Assist RSPA, Blind View Monitor, Parking Collision avoidance assist, and surround View Monitor SVM.

What Is Tech Pack on Hyundai Ioniq 5?

Ioniq 5 Tech Pack

Hyundai Ioniq 5 has three variants, the SE Connect, Premium, and Ultimate.

So, for customers who choose to purchase the Ultimate variant, Hyundai offers two extra optional equipment packs and accessories for the Ultimate. The tech pack and the Eco Pack.

In addition to the excellent specs of the new Hyundai Ioniq 5, it also comes with a Tech Pack, which adds more safety for the passengers. Read more about Ioniq 5 eco pack.

The Tech Pack is a perfect fit for customers, although not all drivers will use the tech pack’s additional features.

Some features include remote self-parking, surroundview monitor, and parking collision avoidance assist.

The Hyundai Ioniq Ultimate models come with a tech start. However, it doesn’t come already installed in the vehicle.

So when you purchase the car, you’ll need to purchase it as a separate buy.

Some car owners choose not to include the tech pack in their options, while others buy the tech start.

Although the Tech Pack has some fantastic and helpful features, some of the features you can do without.

They’re not necessary for your car to function properly, but it all depends on choice and options.

If you want to get one of the features, you’ll need to pay for the entire pack. You can get one without the other.

What Is In The Hyundai Ioniq 5 Tech Pack?

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Tech Pack

The tech pack offers the following features.

#1. Front Memory Seats

You can adjust the memory seats available in the Hyundai Ioniq 5 tech pack electronically, and also you can adjust them to the optimal angle.

The driver’s seat has this seat alongside a footrest underneath than can make the driver feel weightless.

However, Hyundai had to reduce the size of the seats by 40% so that the person seated in the second row could have more space and legroom.

#2. Relaxation Premium Seats

With this feature, you can get quite comfy. The seats are adjustable and can fold flat when you want them to.

When they recline fully, calf support comes up underneath the seats.

So if you’re going to take a quick nap while charging or during a road trip, this feature is great for you.

#3. Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA)

It’s called an assist, but this feature can basically park your car for you.

Again, keep your hands on the steering, though the feature uses the sensors on every side of your vehicle to give a clear view and avoid bumping into anything.

Additionally, it moves very slowly to reduce the effect should any impact occur. It’s ideal for packing in tight spaces with very little wiggle room.

#4. Driver Seat Memory (DSM)

Two different drivers can store their perfect sitting position with driver seat memory. What’s more? The seats will even adjust a bit to make room for the driver to get in and out of the vehicle.

#5. Surround View Monitor

With the surround-view monitor, or around view monitor as they sometimes call it, you can get a bird’s-eye view of the environment around your cars, such as overhead, parking lane adjacent to your car, other cars, and curbs nearby.

#6. Blind Spot Monitor

A blind-spot monitor is a useful feature, especially because many drivers incorrectly set their side mirrors.

So the blind spot monitor shows you the area behind your vehicle and greatly reduces your chances of bumping into another vehicle.

#7. Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (PCA)

The PCA is a safety system that warns the driver or even engages emergency brakes when the car is about to bump into a vehicle, an object, a building, or a pedestrian.

This feature is essential when the driver wants to reverse the car.

All the features provided in the tech pack are optional. However, the tech pack can give you more value and make your driving experience smoother and more interesting.

The tech pack costs £1,495, according to Hyundai’s news release on the Ioniq 5 prices and specifications.

However, users have said the tech is less expensive if you lease it than if you purchase it. However, the company has not provided any option for leasing.

Like every other technology, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 tech pack has advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, the features are helpful.

On the other hand, however, some feel the package is redundant and unnecessarily expensive.

  • One advantage of the tech pack is that your vehicle has better, more comfortable seats and leg rest. Consumers have agreed that the leg rest is comfortable, and you can set it any way you want. I know many people wouldn’t sleep in their car, but if you decided to do so. You will have a good sleep.
  • Another very useful feature in the tech pack kit is the surround-view camera and the blind spot monitor display. The features work excellently well, and they’re said to come in very handy.
  • Also, if you have to park your vehicle in a narrow space with little wiggle room, you could make do with the remote parking option. The Ioniq 5 is not a small car, so parking it could be difficult to manipulate, especially if you’re not an expert. However, the surround camera option makes parking the vehicle very easy.

The Ioniq 5 tech pack is a pretty cool addition, making the vehicle more interesting and easier to navigate.

However, if you’re not sure you’ll be using all or any of the features available, it’s best to save your money.

Also, there are some cons to purchasing the Ioniq 5 tech pack.

On the flip side, however, several users have complained about some of the tech pack’s issues.

  • One of the problems is that some of its features are not useful. For the relaxation seats, for instance, most users have said that they’re not likely to sleep in their vehicles, so that feature isn’t very useful.
  • Additionally, some users have said that if one wants one feature in the tech pack, they’ll need to buy the entire thing. Some Ioniq 5 owners feel that the manufacturer should break it down so that you can access your preferred feature without having to purchase the whole tech pack.

Summary

The Hyundai Ioniq 5, a modern and outstanding electric, can benefit from two distinct packages; the Tech pack and the Eco pack.

These packages enhance safety, comfort, and satisfaction during your Ioniq 5 experience.

Still, while the Eco pack has an added feature over the Tech pack, this article has shown that the Tech pack also gives you value for your money.

Therefore, you’ll have no regrets about going for a Tech pack on your Ioniq 5.
